When Things Are…

IMG_1209

what they are in our lives, we can, if we know the One True God the way He knows us, if we really see Him for Who He Is, we can, believe that sweetness is on the horizon.

THAT, my friends, is called HOPE.

Stuff may not be right in your world.  It isn’t in mine.  It probably isn’t in most peoples’ worlds for one reason or another.

But we can face….

  1. a hard diagnosis for a loved one

  2. the loss of a friend gone too soon

  3. a child whose choices has caused harm to themselves and their future

  4. major changes in life without a spouse

  5. constant pain and exhaustion

  6. losing a home to a fire

  7. the uncertain future of a beloved country

  8. the job search, once again

  9. an unexpected crisis of faith

And we can face all these things because…

GOD’s GOT THIS.  I don’t completely understand it, but I know that I know that I know, because He’s been there for me so many times, even when I push Him away, He’s there.  He’s got this. He is in control.

Did you hear that?

“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God.  I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”     Isaiah 41:10

“When I am afraid, I put my trust in you.” Psalm 56:3

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.  And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:6-7

“Peace is what I leave with you; it is my own peace that I give you. I do not give it as the world does. Do not be worried and upset; do not be afraid.” John 14:27

“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” 2 Timothy 1:7

“There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.” 1 John 4:18
